Departmental PhD Committee

The Departmental Doctoral Committee is the policy-making body for the majors administered by the department. Its responsibilities include

  • initiating changes in the curriculum for the major,
  • initiating new courses for the major,
  • setting policies for the selection of new students, and
  • setting policies for the qualifying examination.

In cases where faculty from NJIT School of Management participate in a major, the departmental committee must include a faculty member from that School.
