The Rutgers Association of Marketing & Strategy is a university sponsored, MBA student initiative to promote Marketing & Strategy studies and activities.

Our goal is to provide opportunities to learn from, gain exposure to, and interact with marketing and strategy professionals from diverse industry segments.  RAMS also serves as an information and networking resource for marketing and strategy professionals, current students, alumni and faculty. We focus on building the skills and knowledge of members in the fields of marketing and business strategy, in order to position Rutgers Business School as a top choice for recruiters placing MBAs into marketing, strategy and consulting functions.

Maitri Tanjea
Maitri Tanjea

Maitri, currently pursuing an MBA with a concentration in Marketing and Analytics, brings a unique blend of technical expertise and marketing acumen to RAMS. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications in 2019, she's honed her skills by spearheading product marketing at early-stage SaaS startups, driving impressive growth in market share and user engagement. As the RAMS president, she aims to ignite diverse perspectives and bridge the gap between theory and practice, empowering members to navigate the vibrant world of marketing through skills development, industry connections, and collaborative projects.

Vice President

Malavika Reddy Mandapati
Malavika Reddy Mandapati

Malavika, an MBA graduate specializing in Pharmaceutical Marketing, currently holds the role of Vice President in the RAMS Club, collaborating closely with President Maitri. Her academic journey spans a B.Tech in Computer Science, followed by an MS in Management from the UK, and finally, an MBA concentrating in Pharmaceutical Marketing at Rutgers Business School. Having worked in marketing roles at pharmaceutical companies like ABBVIE, Msn Labs, and Synaptics Labs, Malavika brings a wealth of experience from the industry. Previously serving as the Marketing Strategy Club Vice President at Brunel University and as an Event organization head for many events during her time as Bachelor and Master, she exhibits a passion for organizational development. 

Her objective within the RAMS Club is to infuse her event management expertise to elevate club activities and offer robust support to aspiring marketing professionals. Malavika's dedication lies in enhancing the club's dynamics and working closely with Maitri to actualize impactful initiatives, ultimately enhancing the club's offerings and fostering a conducive environment for its members' growth.

Treasurer

Karthik Palakurthi
Karthik Palakurthi

Karthik Palakurthi, currently pursuing an MBA with a focus on finance, brings a distinctive combination of engineering expertise and financial acumen to his role as the Treasurer of Rutgers Marketing (RAMS). His academic foundation is in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from IIT Madras, where he developed a robust skill set in quantitative analysis and problem-solving. These skills are now being adeptly applied to his finance studies, demonstrating his ability to integrate technical knowledge with financial insights.

Before his MBA journey, Karthik worked as an Assistant Manager in a construction and mining company, gaining valuable experience in leadership and operations. As the Treasurer of RAMS, he is responsible for managing the organization's finances, overseeing budgeting processes, and upholding fiscal integrity. His role involves ensuring the financial stability and strategic financial planning of RAMS, contributing significantly to its success and growth.
