RBS-NB Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter Wins the Highest Chapter Award Globally for 2017
Our students are working hard to demonstrate the academic strength of RBS! The Beta Gamma Sigma chapter at RBS – New Brunswick just won the highest chapter award globally for 2017. We are a gold chapter, which means RBS-New Brunswick is at the top of the list of 576 Beta Gamma Sigma chapters in the world, including those at Columbia, Cornell, Georgia Tech, U. Michigan, Northwestern and U. Penn.
This is a reflection of the academic success and activities of our students as well as the commitment of our Sr. Associate Dean Marty Markowitz, Helen Pensavalle, and Michelle Tomitz, the Beta Gamma Sigma advisers, to the values of the international business honor society. Several years ago, Marty re-instituted the tradition of “tapping” students whose excellent grades earn them an invitation to join Beta Gamma Sigma. It succeeded in making more students aware of the honor society, re-energizing the chapter, and earning RBS-New Brunswick the recognition as the #1 chapter in the world. Only the top 10 percent of students are invited to join, and membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive.
Congratulations to Marty, Helen, Michelle, and our proud students!
