Rutgers Business School Alumni Association Prize

Melanie Fabian 

Melanie is a double major in Marketing & Management Information Systems and maintains a 3.987 GPA. She completed three internships, a Research Analyst Intern for Similarweb, Marketing & Communications Intern for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Social Media & Marketing Intern for the RBS Office of Career Management.  Melanie also served as the VP of Member Relations for the Association of Latino Professionals for America from fall 2021 to spring 2022 and was a Design Committee Member for the Marketing and Management Society and a part of the Women BUILD’S Ellen Pao Cohort.

Distinguished Leadership Award

Tenille Grant

Tenille is a Marketing major with a concentration in Social Justice with the Honors Living Learning Community, and has maintained a 3.926 GPA. During her time at Rutgers, she served as VP of P.E.Y.T. Womyn, Social Media Coordinator of the Black Organization of Students, Alumnae Relations Director of Women Build and a mentor. Some of her on campus activities were, being a part of the 2020 BSTAR Cohort, HLLC Co-President of the Women of Color Group and RBS Peer Mentoring Program Mentee. Tenille was offered & accepted, a full time position as Content Marketing Associate at Skillsoft.

Dr. Rosa Oppenheim Leadership Award

Hadia Minahill

Hadia is a Supply Chain Management major and graduates with a 3.691 GPA. While attending Rutgers, she completed several internships, with Global Industrial, Rutgers Supply Chain Analytics Lab, Baker Tilly and Unilever. Currently, she is involved with the Road to Supply Chain Leadership program and serves at the team advisor in the recruitment and admissions branch.  While attending RBS she served as a Social Responsibility Director for Women BUILD, President of MISA and a Business Forum Course Assistant. Hadia was offered and accepted a 3-year rotational program with Unilever Future Leaders Program in Supply Chain and will start in July.

Kimvy Tran

Kimvy is a double major in Accounting and Finance and maintains a 3.955 GPA. In her sophomore year, she completed an internship with Johnson & Johnson as an Indirect Tax Summer intern and in her junior year with Deloitte as an Audit & Assurance Summer Intern. During her time at Rutgers, Kimvy held the position of Rutgers Accounting Society President, RUWIB Development Alumni Director. She was also a TA for Professor Michael Cohen and Dean Greeley.  When she had some free time, she was a volunteer for (VITA) Volunteer Income Tax Assistant from her first year to her senior year.  Kimvy has been offered and accepted a full-time offer from Deloitte as an Audit Assistant in Fall 2023 in the Morristown office.

Hadacha Rodriguez Pacheco

Hadacha is an Accounting major and maintained a 3.89 GPA. She has completed several internships with Ernst & Young, Centri Business Consulting and RU-N BOLD Women’s Leadership Network. Some of her on campus activities are serving as Treasurer of Dominican Talks, Member Relations Committee for ALFPA, a part of B-Star, Women Build, RU-N BOLD Women’s Leadership Network. Hadacha was part of the International Leadership Exchange (ILE) Global Scholar and traveled to India & Nepal to study sustainability. Hadacha was offered and accepted a full-time offer from Ernst & Young in their Enterprise Risk Division in their Hoboken office.

Kimvy Tran

Lavor Brown

Lavor is a double major in Accounting and Management Information Systems and graduated with a 3.966 GPA.  He completed two internships with KPMG LLC, one was a rotational internship in three major practices of Audit, Tax and Advisory, the second was specifically an Audit. Some of his on-campus activities are serving as the President of the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF) and Treasurer of the Rutgers Student Veterans Organization (RSVO).  Apart from being a full-time student, he is also a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves. Lavor has accepted a full-time offer from KPMG LLC and works out of Short Hills in their NY Metro Audit Division.

Feras Abujumaiza

Feras is a Finance major and maintains a 3.941 GPA. He completed two internships, Private Equity Internship with Radazon Capital during the summer of his sophomore year and a structuring internship with Deutsche Bank during his junior year. He received a full-time return offer from Deutsche Bank. His activities on campus included holding the position as treasurer for the Rutgers Finance Society and a senior Analyst for the student Managed Fund. While taking classes and being part of the student organizations he was able to run two businesses during his time at school, JMZ Wraps an Automotive Customization company and Z3 Heat (retail Arbitrage).

James Bicksler Leadership Award

Rahman Devji

Rahman is a Finance major and has a 3.929 GPA. In his sophomore year, he completed a summer internship with Wells Fargo in their Wealth Management Division. This past summer he completed another internship at Well Fargo as an Investment Banking summer Analyst. Rahman will be returning to Wells Fargo to continue a full-time position. Some of his on-campus activities include being a course assistant for Business Forum, Co-Vice President of the Rutgers Finance Society and President of the Student Managed Fund.

Habiba Elkayal

Habiba maintains a 3.850 GPA and is a double major in Management Information Systems and Finance. She was a Marketing & Strategy Management Intern with Zena Company, and an assets & Liability Management Intern with Prudential Financial. Some of her on-campus activities include, being a Course Assistant for Business Forum, current President of the Rutgers Finance Society, Outreach coordinator for the Muslims Student Association and a senior analyst for the Student Managed Fund. Habiba has received a return offer to join Prudential’s Finance Leadership Development Program.

Aaron is a Management Global Business major and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. He completed several internships with, Ideanomics, Inc. as a Corporate Development Analyst, Lumos Information Services, LLC, Business Development. Aaron was a student peer mentor for the D.R.E.A.M. Program where he conducted mentorship programs and assist in reaching goals in an inclusive college environment. During the fall 2022 semester, Aaron was a TeamUP Mentoring Program Mentee. Aaron has been working at M & T Bank for the 2023 Community Branch Management Program as a Management Associate.

Akwei Bortey

Akwei is a Management Global Business major and maintains a 3.905 GPA. She has not completed an internship due to working as an Assistant Manager at an educational center. Some of her on-campus activities are peer advisor for the Office of Academic Services, Learning and Research Assistant for the Physics Department, Tutor at the Learning Center. She served as the Co-President for the Minority Association of Pre-Health, and VP of Human Resources for Delta Sigma Pi. Akwei was also part of the Student Governing Association as a New Student Senator in 2020 and Media Senator in 2021. Her plan is to enroll in a health professional school (Dental).

Mohrael Salib

Morael has a 3.893 GPA and is a double major in Management Information Systems and Supply Chain Management. She completed a Data Governance internship with Wakefern this past summer and they asked her to work part-time during the spring semester. Her involvement on campus includes being a student ambassador at the Rutgers Center for Women in Business. Off-campus she is an active member in her church community, and works closely with the youth, helps in leading projects that give back to the community. She has received a couple of full-time offers, and is setting up interviews; she has not yet decided what she will be doing.

Matthew Mei

Matthew was a Supply Chain Management major and graduated with a 3.86 GPA. While he was attending RBS, he was a teaching assistant for three semesters and was the student speaker for the fall 2022 Convocation Ceremony. Outside of Rutgers, he was a guest speaker on Supply Chain Management at Atlantic Cape Community College and an intern at Air Products & Chemicals Inc. Today, Matthew is working in Product Development at Macy’s Inc.
