The Rutgers Business School Graduate Student Government Association (SGA) promotes the interest of Full-Time and Part-Time MBA and Specialty Master students attending classes on the Newark and New Brunswick campuses. The goal of this organization is to facilitate communication between the administration and students. Through various academic and non-academic activities, the SGA aids the professional and personal development of the students.
President

Yogender Kumar, a full-time MBA student in specializing in Supply Chain Management, brings over three years of experience as a Lead Data Engineer Consultant. With a strong foundation in data analytics, process optimization, and client collaboration, he has a proven track record of streamlining operations, optimizing costs, and delivering data-driven solutions for diverse clients. Currently serving as SGA President, Yogender is passionate about fostering an inclusive and vibrant campus community. Organizing events has been his longtime passion, and he is excited to create opportunities that bring the Rutgers community together.
Outside of academics, he enjoys traveling, exploring new places, spending time with friends & family, and participating in outdoor adventures such as hiking, trekking, and river rafting.

Spencer is a full-time MBA student at Rutgers Business School, specializing in Marketing and Pharmaceutical Management. He is passionate about fostering collaboration and advocating for the needs of his peers, and he looks forward to supporting the MBA community through engaging events and initiatives. Spencer is committed to helping the SGA achieve its goals and furthering the vision of the organization.
Before starting his MBA, Spencer graduated from Gettysburg College with a B.A. in Economics. He has several years of experience in business development, where he managed teams and built lasting client relationships in the life science staffing industry. In his free time, Spencer enjoys exploring new restaurants, working on his golf game, and spending time with family and friends.

VP Part-Time

Shayari is a part-time MBA student pursuing dual concentrations in Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management, with a secondary concentration in Artificial Intelligence. She holds an undergraduate degree in Biology from Rutgers University and a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the Rutgers School of Graduate Studies. With five years of experience in regulatory affairs at Bristol Myers Squibb, Shayari is pursuing an MBA to bridge her science background with business acumen, aiming for a career that integrates both disciplines.
As SGA Vice President for the part-time MBA program, Shayari is committed to working with the SGA to create an inclusive and engaging environment for both part-time and full-time MBA students. Her focus is on strengthening the MBA community through events that help students connect, support one another, and grow personally and professionally. Shayari is dedicated to ensuring that all students feel a strong sense of belonging within the program and a deeper connection to the MBA experience.
In her free time, Shayari enjoys traveling, exploring diverse cuisines, interior decorating, hiking, and spending time with her family & friends. She is always eager to discover new experiences that fuel both personal growth and creativity.

Treasurer

Ankit Shingala, a full-time MBA student concentrating in Finance, brings over 4 years of experience in sales as an Account Manager. Previously in his undergraduate years, he studied Bioengineering with a concentration in pharmaceuticals and a minor in Economics. Ankit spent 4 years consulting clients on their residential mortgages needs with people from various backgrounds and walks of life. After 4 years in the real estate space, he looks to bridge his analytical working skills and bioengineering background to pursue a career in Corporate Finance in the pharmaceutical industry. Finally, he has experience in student government as the Director of Finance for Lehigh University’s undergraduate Student Senate and is looking to apply those skills to manage the Rutgers SGA budget to ensure that there are enough funds to carry out all the events necessary for a great year. He looks forward to working with all organizations to ensure that their needs are met and that everyone can carry out their goals and missions.
In his free time, Ankit runs a local handyman business and is also a hobbyist photographer. He also is an avid traveler and has visited over 30 countries in his lifetime.
