Tau Sigma Honor Society

Rutgers Business School-Newark is pleased to announce joining with the Rutgers University-Newark chapter of Tau Sigma National Honor Society.

Tau Sigma EmblemThe mission of the honor society is to “recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students.” In 2011, the Rutgers-Newark chapter was created and in October 2013, the Newark College of Arts and Sciences/University inducted the chapter’s new members into the honor society. Rutgers Business School-Newark will induct their first class Spring 2017.

The emblem of Tau Sigma is a red crest with the Greek letters Tau and Sigma superimposed and a bundle of wheat. The letters Tau and Sigma are emblematic of transition and scholarship.

Rutgers Business School-Newark students are eligible for induction if they meet the following criteria:

  • Must transfer to Rutgers Business School-Newark from another 2-year or 4-year institution with at least a full year of academic credit from the prior institution.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 as a full-time student (12+ credits) during their first term at Rutgers University-Newark.
