Enactus’ Mission

Enactus is an international non-profit organization that brings together student, academic and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.

Entrepreneurial - having the perspective to see an opportunity and the talent to create value from that opportunity;

Action - the willingness to do something and the commitment to see it through even when the outcome is not guaranteed;

Us - a group of people who see themselves connected in some important way; individuals that are part of a greater whole.

About Enactus

Founded in 2014, Rutgers Enactus is a social entrepreneurship club that serves as an incubator for developing students' ideas into team projects, with the goal of serving the greater good. We work with students of all majors and skill sets to create sustainable solutions to social problems found in New Brunswick and across the world. Each project aligns with one or more of the
United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The projects hosted by Enactus are subject to change on a semester-by-semester basis based on project interest and goal achievement, as the ultimate goal of all Enactus projects is to graduate into a self-sustaining entity outside our organization. As of Spring 2026, we have projects relating to criminal justice, environmentalism, sustainable farming, animal rescues, and public health.
